2026 Youth Seat Candidate for AIUSA Board of Directors
In 2025, Amnesty International USA passed a historic resolution to include a Youth Seat on the Board of Directors. This year I was nominated to run as a Youth Seat candidate for the AIUSA Board of Directors.
I believe that the crackdown on free speech, the repression of political expression, and the erosion of the rule of law across the country and world is terrifying. It is up to organizations like Amnesty International to step up even more in these times to defend human rights and mobilize communities to fight back against these attacks. I am committed to bringing this vision to life in AIUSA.
Below, I’ve listed many of the ways I’ve been involved in Amnesty International USA - as a student group leader, former intern, and AIUSA member. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, ideas, or want to chat more!

On December 11, 2025, I facilitated a webinar for Amnesty International USA called Students’ Rights Under Attack - The Global Movement to Defend Free Expression and Peaceful Protest. This was a virtual speaker panel with prominent youth activists, including Mahmoud Khalil, to discuss the state of student repression in the U.S. and globally.

As an AIUSA Intern, I published a white paper for the Arms Sales Accountability Project on the use of Joint-Direct Action Munitions (JDAMs) and Guided Bomb Units (GBUs) in the Israeli military during the 2023 military offensive in the Gaza Strip. I tracked instances in which U.S.-supplied weapons were used in direct violation of international law in the IOPT (Israel and Occupied Palestine Territories) as documented by Amnesty International.
